Easy No-Bake Halloween Cake Pops Recipe

Delicious Halloween Cake Pops decorated like Jack O Lanterns or skeletons can make great treats for a Halloween party or tasty homemade treats for those special Trick-or-Treaters.

Ingredients

You will also need

  • 10 wooden skewers
  • ½ small pumpkin or butternut squash , deseeded, to stand pops in

Method

  • STEP 1 Break the Madeira cake and cookies into the bowl of a food processor, pour in the melted milk chocolate and whizz to combine.
  • STEP 2. Tip the mixture into a bowl, then use your hands to roll into about 10 walnut-sized balls. Chill for 2 hrs until really firm.
  • STEP 3. Push a skewer into each ball, then carefully spoon the white chocolate over the cake balls to completely cover. Stand the cake pops in the pumpkin and chill again until the chocolate has set. Then cover using your preferred coating such as spiced sugars, flavoured frosting, or just more chocolate!

Halloween Cake Pops are so easy to make, fun to decorate and even better to eat. Try different designs like adding a chocolate bean to create a pupil, and use the icing pens to create wiggly red veins on the eyeballs.

If you plan on dying your cake pops, separate the cake ball “dough” equally into separate bowls. Add the amount of dye you would like and stir well to combine and allow the colour to spread. If using classic food coloring, practice for the desired colours on a spare piece of mixture, starting with about 15 drops of dye in each bowl.
